Allen Baker – President, CEO

Allen Baker

Since 1979, Allen Baker has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Altac, Inc., parent company of Computer Masters of Augusta and ViaTrack Systems.

Allen’s business philosophy of simplicity, technology and client services fostered the significant growth and success of ViaTrack and CMA, with clients nationwide including, Healthcare and Technology Companies, Hospitals, Provider Groups and Insurance Payers.

An innovative and strategic leader, Allen touts versatile successes in government, non-profit, academic and commercial business forums.

Academic posts include, Associate Professor, Mathematics and Computer Science, Augusta State University and Assistant Clinical Professor, Department of Radiology, Medical College of Georgia.

Allen has held administrative positions at Bowling Green State University, the University of Georgia, and at Medical Computer Billing Services.

Baker is a Meritorious Service Recipient from the Office of the Vice Chief of Staff of the Pentagon, a grant beneficiary from Bowling Green State University and a Faculty Research Grant recipient from Augusta College.

Baker’s published works include A Simple Approach to Data Base Design and reviews in Computing Reviews and the Mathematics Teacher.

Baker holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Bowling Green State University.

Gregory Baker – Vice President

Gregory Baker

Dr. Gregory A. Baker brings two decades of experience in research & development, engineering management and program management through his past service in both large and small business environments. He currently serves as vice president and general manager for Computer Masters of Augusta, the IT services division of Altac, Inc., the parent company of ViaTrack. Computer Masters provides IT support to approximately 200 Augusta area small- and medium-sized businesses.

Prior to joining Altac, Dr. Baker honed his leadership skills at Lockheed Martin, working his way from technical lead to engineering manager and program manager, achieving his certification as a qualified program manager. He worked on several cutting-edge development programs, including an experimental radar system, the U.S. Air Force’s command and control systems for air and space, and STRATCOM’s next-generation planning system. His technical achievements also include co-authorship on three U. S. patents.

A graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, Dr. Baker earned his doctorate in aerospace engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. He serves on the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and he is a member of the Rotary Club of Augusta and the Leadership Augusta Class of 2010. He was named the Columbia County Chamber of Commerce’s 2008 Volunteer of the Year.

David Baker – Vice President

David Baker

David Baker serves as Vice President of Development for ViaTrack Systems, a position he has held since 2008.

David’s value of collaborative consultative development has led to the success of numerous ViaTrack programs. Baker values the input of clients and creates programs to meet and exceed their needs. His commitment to innovative healthcare technologies is reflected in the releases of ViaTrack’s; HIPAA Analyzer +, NPI Processor, My Remit Manager, Procedure Cost Estimator and FrontDesk.

Before joining ViaTrack Systems, David held positions as a computer technician for Computer Masters of Augusta, a Systems Developer/Programmer for SunSITE at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and as a Web Developer at the startup organization of Iteration Software in the Silicon Valley.

Baker was selected and participated in the prestigious internship program for Microsoft Systems. He also participated in the first broadband transatlantic live audio/video stream using Motion JPEG. Baker has contributed to numerous MS pilot projects and published, An Explanation-Based, Visual Debugger for One-way Constraints.

David received his Masters of Computer Science from the University of Tennessee and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Georgia Southern University.

Richard Baker – Vice President

Richard Baker

Richard Baker serves as the Vice President of Provider Relations for ViaTrack Systems. Baker has more than 15 years of experience in the medical billing, information systems and the healthcare transaction environment. Baker’s extensive technical background and thorough understanding of healthcare administrative practices helped ViaTrack build a solid foundation in the EDI marketplace. During his tenure, Richard successfully guided clients through the turbulent HIPAA mandates and conversions.

Prior to his position of Vice President, Baker served as Director of Provider Relations and Manager of Support Services for ViaTrack Systems. He also spent six years as Special Projects Manager for CMA technologies in which time he spearheaded the development and integration of highly specialized software applications for both large government agencies and several Fortune 500 industries. His experience expands both technical and business aspects in all phases of development and design.

Richard is committed to ensuring the satisfaction of each and every client and that the solutions offered by ViaTrack not only increases our clients’ efficiency but their profitability as well.

Richard is a graduate of Florida State University and is an active member of American College of Healthcare Executives.

Patricia Wert Dempster – Director of EDI Operations

Patricia Wert Dempster

Patricia Wert Dempster serves as Director of EDI Operations for ViaTrack Systems. Patricia manages the day-to-day operations of ViaTrack’s clearinghouse services, which include customer support, enrollment and implementation, and network teams. Her focus is to ensure an exceptional level of client support and to develop and enhance EDI solutions for ViaTrack users.

Patricia possesses extensive knowledge of claims processing, records management, client support, EDI X12 transactions and communications. Knowledge gained from over 15 years of experience through positions at TRICARE, Companion Technologies and BCBS SC. Specific accomplishments include initiating TQM/Team concepts, developing a filing system and a file plan following Federal guidelines and automating the File Retrieval System at TRICARE. While with BCBS SC, Patricia joined the newly developed HIPAA EDIG Gateway Operations and played a critical role in successfully implementing departmental processes, procedures and transitioning SC providers and Trading Partners to the new EDI Gateway.

Patricia is a graduate of Limestone College with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Computer Programming. She is an active member of the CSRA Medical Managers Association of Augusta, Georgia.

Vanessa DiMantova – Director of Business Development

Vanessa DiMantova

Vanessa DiMantova serves as Director of Business Development for ViaTrack Systems, a position she has held since 2006. In this position, Vanessa is dedicated to seeking new partnerships and growing ViaTrack’s client base that currently includes: hospitals, provider groups, ambulatory surgery centers, Federally Qualified Health Centers and Community Health Centers. Vanessa also leads ViaTrack’s marketing and outreach efforts.

Prior to her position at ViaTrack Systems, Vanessa gained significant managerial and sales experience in her seven year tenure as Senior Account Executive with BusinessWest Magazine. DiMantova was a critical part of the team that led the magazine to significant growth in revenue and a transition from monthly to bi-monthly publication. DiMantova has also held positions as a Sales Representative/Marketing Manager for Computer Masters of Augusta, a technical support specialist at American College Testing and a sales assistant at WJBF television.

Vanessa shares ViaTrack’s philosophy that each practice is unique in their challenges and that one size does not always fit all.

Vanessa graduated from the University of Baltimore with a bachelor’s degree in Jurisprudence.
