The Background

Hunterdon Healthcare System is a non-profit health care organization in Flemington, N.J., committed to providing a full range of quality services that respond to the needs of the community. A ViaTrack client since 2006, Hunterdon has over 31 current accounts ranging from family health centers, pediatrics, eye and surgery centers, gastroenterology, oncology, family practice, otolaryngology, psychiatry, urology, cardiology, hematology and more. Hunterdon Healthcare System has partnered with the Hunterdon Physician Practice Association to form Hunterdon Healthcare Partners LLC, an integrated delivery network dedicated to enhancing care to the residents of Hunterdon County and the surrounding areas with access to integrated health care.

The Hunterdon Healthcare Partners team was trained by ViaTrack and led the tiered implementation of their 31 practices. In a train-the-trainer support model, the HHP team worked with the wide range of practice specialties for setup, implementation and training.

Why ViaTrack?

Hunterdon was looking for a Practice Management System that offered Electronic Medical Records with integrated Practice Management. After Hunterdon chose NextGen, the practice saw demonstrations of NextGen’s preferred clearinghouses and conducted due-diligence research. They felt the products were comparable but ViaTrack offered more attractive pricing, a key benefit to every non-profit. But once Hunterdon made the move to ViaTrack, staff members discovered that the benefits of using ViaTrack extended far beyond price considerations alone.

The Result

Hunterdon project manager Jean Fitzgerald said her staff experienced firsthand ViaTrack’s “incredible customer service,” adding, “we can’t imagine working with any other clearinghouse.” Her colleague, Physician Applications Analyzer EPM/EMR NCP Carolyn Schmid commented: “ViaTrack claims analysts are great at resolving issues and helping pinpoint the problem. The system itself is very easy to use and we especially appreciate the ability to see loops and segments of claim. Timely filing proof is wonderful and so simple to locate. With other clearinghouses, this has been a nightmare.”
