What does ViaTrack's NPI Processor do?

  • Scans your HIPAA 837 claims files for NPI Compliance
  • Correct missing NPI numbers
  • Loads NPI numbers into your 837 claims file
  • Saves the corrected claims files for transmission to your payers

 Make your 837 claims files NPI Compliant

  • Simply import your 837 claims files into ViaTrack’s NPI Processor
  • The NPI Processor will instantly scan all areas of the 837 file for locations where NPI numbers should be used
  • The NPI Processor will then display a list of all Provider and Facility names with their associated NPI numbers.  See which providers do not have NPI numbers and validate the numbers for those that do 
  • The system highlights all Providers which are missing NPI numbers.  You can also validate that NPI numbers being sent are correct.
  • At this point the NPI Processor will allow you to insert missing NPI numbers for any Provider that does not have one.
  • Once you have all the NPI numbers correct, the system will rebuild the file with the proper NPI numbers and you can save this file for transmit to your payers.

 

Build NPI Libraries for quick processing and NPI checks

With each file you pass through the NPI Processor, the system builds an NPI Library for all of your providers.  This library stores all your providers and facilities and every NPI number associated with them. 

As you run production file through the system, the NPI processor will read the file and load all of your NPI numbers directly into the file. Instantly, your file is NPI ready.  Simply save the file and transmit it to your payers.

If a new provider is found in an 837 claims file, the NPI Processor will add it to the library for future processing.   

Do I have to process claims with ViaTrack to use the NPI Processor?

No. The NPI Processor works as a stand-alone system and works totally independent of your practice management software or your current claims clearinghouse. 

If you are a ViaTrack claims client, then relax.  The NPI Processor is completely integrated into our claims processing system.
